The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Oregon Ducks in Las Vegas as part of a doubleheader in 2023, Jon Rothstein of College Hoops Today has reported.

Per the report, Georgia and Oregon will square off at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, which will likely be the season-opener for the Bulldogs.

Kario Oquendo, who played for Georgia for two seasons before transferring to Oregon, will get a chance to square off with his old team.

Georgia and Oregon have only faced each other in basketball one time in their history. The Ducks defeated the Bulldogs in that contest, 87-74, on Dec. 20, 1975 in the IU Classic in Bloomington, Ind.

Rothstein reports that the second game of the doubleheader will feature the USC Trojans taking on the Kansas State Wildcats.

Last week, it was reported that Georgia will host the Alabama A&M Bulldogs at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023.

Earlier this month, we confirmed a report that Georgia will host the North Florida Ospreys in Athens on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023. The Bulldogs will pay the Ospreys an $85,000 guarantee for that contest.

It has also been reported that Georgia will play in the 2023 Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Championship, an annual preseason college basketball tournament that is held at the Baha Mar Convention Center in Nassau, Bahamas. Games will be played Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 19.

Georgia is expected to play in the tournament along with the Miami Hurricanes, Kansas State Wildcats, and Providence Friars.

In other home non-conference action this season at Stegeman Coliseum, Georgia is scheduled to host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Friday, Nov. 10 and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on a date to be announced. The remainder of Georgia’s non-conference schedule will be reported over the next few months.

The 2023-24 season will be the second under head coach Mike White. The Bulldogs finished the 2022-23 season 16-16 overall (6-12 SEC), a 10-win improvement over the previous season.
