The Georgia Bulldogs have added the Alabama A&M Bulldogs to their 2023-24 basketball schedule, according to a report by Rocco Miller.

Per the report, Georgia will host Alabama A&M at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023. The game will mark the third overall meeting between the two schools in basketball.

Alabama A&M is a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in Division I. The Bulldogs have recorded two victories over the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M in two attempts, winning 71-54 in 2004 and 80-36 in 2006.

Earlier this month, we confirmed a report that Georgia will host the North Florida Ospreys in Athens on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023. The Bulldogs will pay the Ospreys an $85,000 guarantee for that contest.

It has also been reported that Georgia will play in the 2023 Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Championship, an annual preseason college basketball tournament that is held at the Baha Mar Convention Center in Nassau, Bahamas. Games will be played Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 19.

Georgia is expected to play in the tournament along with the Miami Hurricanes, Kansas State Wildcats, and Providence Friars.

In other home non-conference action this season at Stegeman Coliseum, Georgia is scheduled to host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Friday, Nov. 10 and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on a date to be announced. The remainder of Georgia’s non-conference schedule will be reported over the next few months.

The 2023-24 season will be the second under head coach Mike White. The Bulldogs finished the 2022-23 season 16-16 overall (6-12 SEC), a 10-win improvement over the previous season.
