The UGA football SEC opponents for the 2024 season have been set, the conference announced on Wednesday.

The 2024 season will mark the first for the SEC as a 16-team league when the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns join. Their move comes one season earlier than originally planned, so as a result, the SEC football schedule format for the 2024 season will remain at eight games per team and will be a “one-year schedule.”

The SEC will also eliminate the divisional standings beginning in 2024 and place the top two teams in the standings into the SEC Championship Game. Under the new division-less format, each school will play every other school a minimum of two times in a four-year period.

For the 2024 season, Georgia’s home SEC opponents will be the Auburn Tigers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and Tennessee Volunteers. The Bulldogs will travel to face the Alabama Crimson Tide, Kentucky Wildcats, Ole Miss Rebels, and Texas Longhorns.

Georgia will also play their annual contest against the Florida Gators in Jacksonville, Fla. That game is tentatively slated for Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2024 season against the Clemson Tigers on Saturday, Aug. 31 in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. Georgia’s remaining three non-conference contests will all be played at Sanford Stadium in Athens — Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on Sept. 7, UMass Minutemen on Nov. 23, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Nov. 30.

The complete 2024 UGA football schedule with dates will likely be released in late summer or early fall.
