Ellis Robinson commits to UGA football for 2024 class

Ellis Robinson, a five-star defensive back from Bradenton, Fla., has committed to UGA football for the class of 2024.

Robinson committed to Kirby Smart and the back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Ellis Robinson (6-0, 175) currently plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton. He committed to UGA over Alabama, LSU, Miami, and Colorado, plus several other top schools.

In the 247Sports Composite, Ellis Robinson is rated as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 cornerback, and the No. 13 overall recruit in the country for 2024.

Rivals.com rates Ellis Robinson as a four-star recruit, the No. 3 cornerback, and the No. 57 overall recruit for the 2024 class.

“(Athens) exceeded my parents’ expectations. Everyone on the staff made us feel like family,” Robinson told UGASports.com last year after visiting Athens. “I enjoyed spending time with Coach Fran Brown and Coach Will Muschamp. The icing on the cake was meeting with Coach (Kirby) Smart. He’s so down to Earth. He really seems like a players’ coach. I could see myself playing for him.”

With the addition of Robinson, the Georgia Bulldogs now have ten commitments for the class of 2024. UGA’s 2024 class is currently ranked first in the 247Sports Team Rankings ahead of LSU, Florida State, Notre Dame, and Alabama.
